Documents Library

The documents library consists of substantive documents and documents that relate to the GFMD process. Among the substantive documents, you can find background papers, research works and other documents that have been used as references in the preparation of the Roundtables or thematic meetings. It is noteworthy that most of these GFMD-related documents were prepared by government-led teams. This approach has helped promote confidence-building and a sense of partnerships between and among governments and key partners in the GFMD process.

The process-related documents include the Roundtable concept themes for each annual meeting, the list of GFMD participants, and Reports of Proceedings of the meetings of the GFMD Steering Group and Friends of the Forum. In addition, information on the engagement of the civil society and the business sector can be found.

The documents library does not contain the migration and development policies and practices that are stored in the GFMD Database in the Platform for Partnerships.

The GFMD documents library is generally open to the public. The wealth of information that is showcased in the library could be useful for all migration and development enthusiasts - government policy-makers and practitioners, international organizations, civil society, business, researchers and students, and migrants themselves.

The search engine below allows you to search by any key word(s) you choose. Alternatively, you may filter the documents by (annual) GFMD meetings, and/or by thematic area or tag (on the right). If the themes and tags do not appear, try clicking the ‘reset’ button next to the search bar.
