Summary: 

This Act instituted the overseas employment polices. It established a higher standard of protection and welfare promotion for migrant workers, their families and overseas Filipinos in distress. It includes pre-employment orientation that allows 5 accredited NGOs to offer courses on entrepreneurship, business and finance management. The NGOs promote and protect migrant workers’ rights, as stipulated in the Act.
