
Cities of Migration showcases good ideas in immigrant integration and promotes innovative practices that create inclusion and urban prosperity.
Cities of Migration seeks to improve local integration practice in major immigrant receiving cities worldwide through information sharing and learning exchange. It brings an urban lens to its view of good integration practice, and seeks to promote city-to-city learning exchange and create links between the many actors who are involved in the practical day-to-day work of making integration a key component of urban success, internationally.
The objectives are the following:
GFMD 2016 - Governance of migration and development - Supporting Evidence for Thematic Area 3
GFMD 2018 - Recommendations to the 2018 High-Level Political Forum
GFMD 2019 - Background Paper RT 2.1 "Shaping the Public Narrative on Migration and Migrants"
