Summary:

The Peruvian National Migration Policy (PNM) dedicates particular importance to achieving the full reintegration of the returned migrant into the economy and society in a long-term vision. Their logo is "Migrate Safely - Safely Return", to make visible the virtuous circle that migration should be.

The Law of Return (Law No. 30001- Law of Economic and Social Reinsertion for the Returned Migrant, approved on March 14, 2013), renewed by Law No. 30525 issued on December 15, 2016, grants quite generous customs benefits for the returned migrant. In particular it encourages the return of qualified resources to establish companies by exempting import duties on capital goods for up to 350 thousand dollars (approximately 100 thousand euros). To date, thanks to this mechanism, new private schools and small, medium-sized enterprises have been created or expanded, in addition to favoring the import of machinery for the plastics, gastronomy and agriculture sector, amongst others.
This law also concerns people returning from European and American countries in crisis and people in situations of vulnerability, facilitating access to basic services, workplace reinsertion and education, among others.
