Summary: 

The Co-Development Project between Ecuador's Cañar province and the the Murcia Region in Spain ran between 2008 and 2009. It aimed to improve contitions for migrants from the province of Cañar in the Murcia Region by generating a series of good practices that could potentially be replicated elsewhere.

The Project Codevelopment Cañar - Murcia is a pilot experience promoted by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation with the purpose of contributing to the development of the populations of origin and destination of migrations. The Project consists of the implementation of a series of activities developed among the social and
institutional origin of the immigrants (canton Cañar, in the province of  Cañar, Ecuador) and the social and institutional universe of the destination, in which currently reside, work and train (localities of the region from Murcia, Spain).
