The provision of basic skills to manage finances can have a considerable impact on the choice of modes of remittance transfers, expenditure preferences, savings behaviour and options for converting remittances into assets.
For this reason, ILO offers a range of training resources for a variety of stakeholders, including development organisations that reach poor women and men, youth, migrant workers including prospective and returning migrants, government agencies, ministries, central banks, NGOs, microfinance institutions, banks, business development service providers, trade unions, recruitment agencies, vocational training institutions, insurance agents and rural extension officers. Resources include traditional training manuals and courses, as well as e-learning courses.
