The main goal of this portal is to promote the access of the Chilean citizens residing abroad to government services and information. It also:

• promotes the modernization of the state administration in regard to the services that are provided to Chileans abroad;
• encourages the organization of Chileans abroad to enhance their participation in the societies in which they are embedded;
• generates an exchange of ideas regarding the exercise of civil, political, social and cultural rights;
• encourages community support of Chileans abroad in maintaining their national cultural heritage; and
• fosters dialogue between the country and its diaspora.
