Summary: 

The Europass system facilitates job matching through a common definition of experience and mobility. It comprises five documents available in a common format across Europe:

  • The Europass CV and the European Language Passport (which are to be filled by the citizens themselves), and
  • the Europass Mobility, Certificate and Diploma Supplements (which are issued to the holder by the relevant authorities).

Europass is an initiative of the European Commission, established by the Decision No 2241/2004/EC of the European Parliament and the Council of 15 December 2004 on a "single transparency framework for qualifications and competences".
