Over 24 months, the proposed project aims to mainstream the migration, environment and climate change nexus into national adaptation planning. Firstly, IOM Moldova, together with the University of Vienna, will assess how, when and where migration ñ in its different forms ñ contributes to climate change adaptation and climate resilience, with a special focus on slow-onset hazards. Secondly, IOM Moldova will support the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development, and Environment to develop their contributions to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Changeís work plan on human

Funded by the IOM Development Fund, the Project aims to contribute towards mainstreaming migration into national policies on climate change and environment, as well as developing the enabling conditions necessary to unlock the potential of migration to support climate action and reduce migration related risks in the Republic of Moldova.
