Labour Market Regulatory Authority launched the Labour Registration Program, in partnership with the private sector through Labour Registration Centres with the aim of providing a safe and balanced-work environment that preserves the rights of all parties and the society, enhancing the efforts to eliminate irregular workers and linking work permits to vocational standards and qualifications.
Registered workers will be eligible to work in specialized occupations after obtaining a license and will be provided with a work permit card with a QR Code that includes workers' updated data, such as: permit type, authorized occupations, permit validity, health insurance details, and the name of the registration centre. Worker will also have increased legal protection, including their inclusion to the Wage Protection System.
Irregular migration and regular pathways, including decent work, labor mobility, development and recognition of skills and qualifications and other relevant measures.
