Summary: 

A bilateral cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Seychelles and the Government of the Republic of Mauritius has been signed considering the mutual interest and benefits to be accrued to both parties in promoting closer cooperation in education and human resources development.

Main aims

  • to cooperate in the recruitment and professional development of teachers and other specialists in the education sector;
  • to intensify collaboration and ensure effective coordination of cooperation between both countries;
  • to create a mutual operating framework for the parties to cooperate in the recruitment of Mauritian Teachers and other specialists in the education sector in Seychelles.

Success factors

Eleven Mauritian teachers are presently working in Seychelles as follows:

  • Primary School Educators: 6 
  • Secondary School Educators: 5

Dates

Start Date: 27 October 2017
End Date : 26 October 2022, renewable by mutual agreement through diplomatic channel
