Summary: 

This project aims to enhance decent work opportunities for migrant domestic workers by reducing their vulnerability to exploitation and abuse, and mitigating the adverse impact of migration on the families left behind. The project will works to:

a) enhance the global knowledge base on migration in global care chains though comparative, quantitative and qualitative research in selected countries;

b) raise awareness about human and labour rights of migrant domestic workers, including rights as key actors of social and economic development, and;

c) test innovative approaches in selected pilot countries to protect, support and empower migrant domestic workers at all stages of the migration cycle.

It focuses on 5 Migration corridors: Nepal - UAE; Indonesia - Malaysia, Zimbabwe - South Africa; Ukraine - Poland; Paraguay - Argentina.
